Texas A&M Students Study Abroad in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

Design and Construction Seminar in Mexico

On May 5 - 6, 2011, Texas A&M University and the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Azcapotzalco (UAM) celebrated a seminar on Design and Construction. On the first day, faculty Gabriel Esquivel and student Oscar Díaz (College of Architecture at Texas A&M) and; a delegation led by Dr. Jorge Rodríguez (Area of Administration and Technology for Design at UAM) met at the Texas A&M University Facility in Mexico.

Texas A&M University and Habitat for Humanity Mexico

On Saturday, February 19, the Texas A&M University Center in Mexico joined forces with Habitat for Humanity Mexico in organizing a construction project in the small community of San Salvador El Verde, Puebla.  Over 30 people from various organizations including SAGARPA, UNAM, Monterrey Tec, and the US Embassy in Mexico participated alongside Texas A&M former students and staff of the Mexico Center in constructing the foundation of a home in this small community about an hour outside of Mexico City.

Texas A&M and Mexican Academic Leaders Visit Hacienda Santa Clara

On December 9, 2011, a delegation of Texas A&M administrators and professors met with leadership of Mexican universities and institutions in the State of Guanajuato. Guests convened at the new teaching and research facility currently being built by Texas A&M graduate Pablo Marvin near San Miguel de Allende.
